RIBER: Net Income Up by 27%, but Services Decline Across the Atlantic
In 2025, RIBER recorded a significant improvement in its results, with net income increasing by 27.1% and operating income up by 13.5%. However, this performance is largely built on the MBE systems activity alone, while sales of services and accessories have declined due to US budget constraints.
Financial Performance and Sales Breakdown
RIBER's revenue amounted to 40.3 million euros in 2025, in line with the targets announced by the group. Sales of MBE systems remained stable at 30.9 million euros for 12 machines delivered, including a first unit of ROSIE, the silicon-integrated photonics platform. However, sales of services and accessories were recorded at 9.4 million euros, a decline attributed to budget restrictions in the United States. This separation reflects an increasing concentration of the revenue model on production equipment, to the detriment of the services segment.
Gross Margin and Operational Results
The gross margin reached 15.6 million euros, up by 4.7%, benefiting from a favorable effect of the product portfolio composition. The current operating result increased by 13.5% to 5.1 million euros, now representing 13% of the revenue compared to 11% the previous year. This improvement stems from the control of operational expenses combined with the strong performance of the business. Net income increased by 27.1% to 5.2 million euros, boosted by a tax income of 0.5 million euros related to the activation of carryforward losses. Equity rose by 3.7 million euros to 27.3 million euros. However, gross cash decreased to 7.5 million euros from 8.6 million euros at the end of 2024, reflecting investment needs and distribution to shareholders from the emission premium.
Order Book and Future Outlook
The order book showed a 24% increase to 26.9 million euros as of December 31, 2025. It includes 6 MBE systems for 20.3 million euros, comprising 4 production machines and a ROSIE platform, supplemented by orders for services and accessories worth 6.6 million euros. Two units of ROSIE were ordered in 2025, confirming the commercial traction of this disruptive technology. The book does not include an additional order announced in January 2026 for a production system in Japan, deliverable in 2026. In a context of accelerated global investments in artificial intelligence and data infrastructure, RIBER positions ROSIE as a turning point, with a gradual ramp-up expected and the manufacturing of ROSIE 2 scheduled for 2026. The group displays growth prospects for 2026, subject to obtaining the required licenses. A distribution of 0.10 euros per share taken from the emission premium is proposed for the general meeting on June 17, 2026.
