Virtualware Appoints Stephanie Smith to Advisory Committee
Virtualware has announced the appointment of Stephanie Smith, former Chief Nuclear Engineer at CANDU Energy, to its international advisory committee. The appointment is effective immediately for the 2026 fiscal year.
Professional Background of Stephanie Smith
Stephanie Smith, a certified Canadian nuclear engineer (P. Eng.), has been appointed to the international advisory committee of Virtualware. Ms. Smith has over 35 years of experience in the nuclear industry, having served as the Chief Nuclear Engineer and Director at CANDU Energy (AtkinsRealis), a Canadian multinational. She was certified by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission as a team leader and plant manager. Throughout her career, she has overseen the design and refurbishment of large-scale CANDU reactors, chaired the CANDU Owners' Group, and held positions at Ontario Power Generation and the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO).
