ABB Concludes 2025 with a Record Fourth Quarter and Raises Its Targets

In the fourth quarter, the group recorded a 36% increase in orders, reaching $10.3 billion for the first time in a quarter. Revenue was around $9.1 billion, up 13% year-over-year.
Strong Financial Performance in Q4
ABB concluded the year 2025 on a solid quarterly performance, propelled by strong business dynamics and an improvement in profitability. In the fourth quarter, the group registered a 36% increase in orders, amounting to $10.3 billion, surpassing this threshold for the first time in a quarter. The revenue stood at approximately $9.1 billion, marking a 13% increase over the previous year. The operating result (Ebita) reached $1.59 billion, up 19%, resulting in a margin of 17.6%, an improvement of one point despite being slightly below market expectations.
Annual Gains and Future Outlook
The quarterly net profit amounted to $1.27 billion, compared to $987 million a year earlier. For the entire year of 2025, ABB reported a net profit of $4.7 billion, up 20%. Annual sales increased by 9% to $33.2 billion, while orders rose by 17% to $36.7 billion. The demand was particularly driven by electrical equipment for data centers. For 2026, the group anticipates comparable revenue growth of between 7% and 10% in the first quarter, and between 6% and 9% throughout the year, with a slight expected improvement in the Ebita margin excluding exceptional effects. ABB also raised its dividend to 0.94 francs per share and announced the launch of a share buyback program that could reach $2 billion by January 2027.
