Accor share among CAC 40 leaders but -8% over the quarter
The multi-brand hotel group's share rebounds sharply this Friday, in a CAC 40 showing slight gains, after a nearly stable month. The rise comes as the share trades near its two main moving averages, in a sensitive technical configuration.
A 1.66% rebound that brings the share back into contact with its reference averages
The Accor share gains 1.66% to €45.97 in trading, posting one of the best performances of the CAC 40 this Friday. The share achieves this rebound from the previous day's €45.22, within a Paris index advancing 0.32%. Over the week, gains remain modest at 0.48%, and performance over one month is virtually flat (-0.45%). Over three months, however, the share is still down 8.13%, underscoring the magnitude of the correction phase underway since summer.
Today's advance brings the price into contact with the 20-day MA at €46.15 and the 200-day MA at €46.03, with gaps under 0.4% in both cases. The 50-day MA at €46.29 remains slightly above, 0.69% from the current price. The RSI at 42 remains in neutral territory, with no particular directional signal. The next identified resistance sits at €47.47, representing a gap of just over 3% above the current price, while support is found at €45.11.

Beyond the price movement, Accor is conducting a share buyback program of €225 million announced on July 30, 2026, approximately 12% of which had been executed by September 18 (€27 million). Over twelve months, €200 million in shares have been repurchased, representing nearly 2% of market capitalization. This shareholder return mechanism constitutes a contextual element for the share's dynamic.
When publishing first-half 2026 results on July 31, 2026, the group had communicated an EBITDA guidance of €1,272.5 million for the fiscal year. Furthermore, Morgan Stanley had raised its rating on the share to "overweight" on September 4, 2026, with a target of €55, representing upside potential of approximately 20% compared to the current price. In a context of strong dollar and elevated U.S. yields weighing on risk assets, the value, historically sensitive to U.S. short rates, remains worth monitoring around the €46 level where its three moving averages converge.
