Air Astana Orders 25 Airbus A320neo Family Aircraft
Air Astana Group has finalized its largest direct order by signing a contract for 25 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft. This order coincides with the 20th anniversary of the group's first A320 operation in Central Asia.
Significant Acquisition
Air Astana Group has signed a firm contract for 25 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft, consisting of five A320neo and 20 A321neo. This represents the largest direct order ever placed by the group. According to Peter Foster, CEO of Air Astana, this order reflects a commitment to maintaining the group's reputation for operational efficiency and service excellence. The group emphasizes that the A321LR in a premium configuration offers what it considers the best single-aisle long-haul product in the world, combining true long-range capability with an exceptional onboard experience.
Fleet Expansion and Renewal
The new aircraft will be deployed within Air Astana and its low-cost subsidiary FlyArystan as part of an overall expansion and renewal of the fleet. Air Astana Group currently operates a fleet of 59 Airbus A320 Family aircraft. The A320neo Family offers at least 20% fuel savings and CO? emission reductions compared to previous generation single-aisle aircraft, and can operate with up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel.
