Alten Modifies Its Governance with New Appointments
Alten announces a reorganization of its leadership with the appointment of Cyril Malargé as CEO and undertakes changes within its Board of Directors.
Separation of Roles and New CEO Appointment
The Board of Directors of Alten has decided to separate the roles of Chairman and CEO. Simon Azoulay, who has held both positions, will continue as Chairman of the Board. Cyril Malargé, currently the CEO of Sopra-Steria, will take over as CEO of Alten by no later than January 31, 2026. Malargé, aged 52, holds a degree from the Ecole Spéciale de Mécanique et d'Electricité and a PhD in Electrical Engineering. His career began at Bel Group, followed by a stint at Lafont as CIO, and then at Sopra Steria where he held various leadership positions. Simon Azoulay has expressed his confidence in Malargé to ensure the continuity of Alten's development.
Board Resignation and Succession
Alten's Board of Directors has also acknowledged the resignation of Aliette Mardyks, an independent director and Chair of the Audit Committee. Danièle Guyot-Caparros has been co-opted to succeed her, both on the Board and as Chair of the Audit Committee, for the remaining duration of the term, which lasts until the general assembly of 2028. Guyot-Caparros, 66, has extensive experience in finance and commercial operations, having worked at PwC and held leadership roles at Rhône-Poulenc-Rorer, now known as Sanofi. She is also a member of the boards of DBV Technologies and Valneva SE.
Official Confirmations Pending
The appointments of Simon Azoulay as Chairman of the Board and Cyril Malargé as CEO will be confirmed in an upcoming official statement from Alten. The ratification of the co-optation of Danièle Guyot-Caparros will be submitted for approval at the company's annual general meeting in 2026. These changes are part of a dynamic to strengthen governance to support Alten's development strategy.
