S.E.B. Stock Drops Nearly 2% and Stalls Below Its MM50 Ahead of Half-Year Results
The Lyon-based small appliance manufacturer gives back some of its weekly rebound on the eve of the publication of its half-year accounts. The stock slips to the lower end of the SBF 120 as the Paris market moves slightly higher, amid a tense market climate fueled by a resurgence of geopolitical tensions.
A Retreat that Interrupts the Upward Momentum Before Wednesday's Publication
S.E.B. stock loses 1.8% at €49.54, down from €50.45 the previous day, while the SBF 120 gains 0.29%. The stock is among the most neglected in the index, a marked shift compared to the rises of Virbac (+5.99%) and Nanobiotix at the top. Today's movement comes on the eve of the publication of the half-year results expected on July 22, the main date on the calendar for the stock. Today's decline only erases part of the nearly 3% weekly gain, in a nervous market climate marked by tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and the announced naval blockade in the Red Sea, which fuel fears about global logistical costs.
A Price Stuck Between MM20 and MM50, Approaching a Support at €46
The stock remains above its MM20 at €48.20 (a gap of +2.78%) but struggles below its MM50 at €50.15, which it briefly surpassed last week. The RSI at 55 remains neutral, giving the stock some margin before any tense zone, while the MACD displays a slightly positive histogram after several weeks in the red. Should the decline continue, the support at €46, already tested at the beginning of July, would become a reference zone again. According to the consensus of analysts surveyed, the stock is priced at about 8.3 times the expected earnings for the current fiscal year, a multiple that reflects a 38% decrease in price over a year. The publication of the first semester 2026 sales and results on July 22 will provide the next numerical benchmark on the group's trajectory.
