Among CAC 40 locomotives, Publicis Groupe shares advance by 2%
The communications group is among the best performers of the CAC 40 this morning, in a Paris market that is regaining momentum. The stock is approaching a moving average that has contained it in recent weeks, just days before an activity update.
A rebound that brings the stock back above its twenty-day moving average
The Publicis Groupe share gains 2.16% to €97.34 in trading, among the strongest advances of the CAC 40, while the index rises by 0.81%. The movement erases part of the decline from the September 30 session, when the stock had finished at the back of the pack below €94. It remains nonetheless in positive territory over three months, with a gain of 14.3%, after a decline of 1.62% over one month.
From a technical standpoint, the price moves back above the 20-day MA (€96.57) but remains 0.98% below the 50-day MA (€98.30), a threshold the stock has not reclaimed for several sessions. The RSI at 44 remains neutral.
Third quarter revenue expected on October 13
Publicis will publish its third quarter revenue on October 13. When publishing H1 2026 results on July 16, the group had raised its organic growth target for the year to +4.5% to +5%, citing the momentum of its new business. Among the risks mentioned at that time was reduced visibility on the macroeconomic front.
On the rates market, the 10-year OAT stands at 4.90% according to the Banque de France survey of October 8, at the peak level of the month's series. The €175 million share buyback announced in February had been executed at approximately 100% by end of March.
