Aperam shares fall 24% over the quarter, just days before its earnings
The stainless steel producer extends the rebound begun the previous day, in a well-oriented French market. However, the stock remains well below its summer levels, on the eve of its quarterly results.
A rebound that leaves the stock below its three moving averages
The stock gains 1.88% to €35.78 intraday, while the SBF 120 rises 0.58%. It still has ground to make up: the price remains below the MA20 (a gap of -1.92%), the MA50 (-13.74%) and the MA200 (-17.06%). The move of the day barely offsets the 14.73% decline recorded over one month.
The RSI at 39 indicates that the stock has not yet left its weakness zone, and the €34.06 support lies less than 5% below the current price.
Over the week, the stock is up 2.93%, which offsets only a small part of the 24.07% slide over three months. It had already rebounded 3.5% on Wednesday after a long series of declines.
Third-quarter results expected on November 6
Aperam will publish its third-quarter and first nine-month 2026 results on November 6. The announcement comes after a period of pronounced decline, during which the stock lost more than 20% over one month and over three months.
Meanwhile, Brent crude is trading around $96 a barrel, up 1.52% intraday but down 13.2% since the end of October, which may affect the sector's fuel costs.
As for analyst opinions, the stock remains one to watch ahead of the publication. The stock ranks 26th in the SBF 120 for the session, well behind the strongest gainers led by SES and Air France-KLM. The next key figure is the November 6 publication, with the €34.06 support in the background.
