Bureau Veritas structures its data center offering around five key challenges
On November 6, 2026, Bureau Veritas published a global brochure entitled "Mission Critical Data Centers Solutions". This commercial document summarizes all the services the group offers to owners, developers and operators of data centers.
The inspection and certification group links this publication to the growing demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, digital services and so-called hyperscale infrastructure.
Five sector challenges adopted as the framework of the offering
The document organizes the offering around five challenges that the group identifies for the sector. These are regulatory compliance, risks related to project delivery, commissioning and operational readiness, sustainability and ESG performance, and cybersecurity and operational resilience.
Bureau Veritas describes a sector subject to "new pressures", linked to the growth of hyperscale infrastructure and colocation centers. According to the group, operators must reconcile speed of execution, reliability and scalability, while meeting growing requirements in terms of regulation, sustainability and operational performance.
Services deployed across the entire lifecycle of facilities
The services are classified according to five stages of a data center's lifecycle. The first is planning (feasibility studies, compliance, technical consulting), followed by construction (quality assurance, works supervision, risk management) and verification (commissioning, testing). Next come operation (cybersecurity, resilience), then improvement (sustainability, resource efficiency, asset performance).
The group considers that data centers "rank among the most complex and most strategic assets of the digital economy". It cites references on hyperscale, colocation, enterprise and critical infrastructure projects. It states that it combines global methodologies with local expertise to meet regional requirements.
