Argan Delivers a 9,000 m² Logistics Center in Lens
Argan announces the delivery of a new logistics building in Vendin-le-Vieil, intended for an international transport and logistics group for a period of 12 years, according to the group's statement.
Completion of the Construction
Argan has recently completed the construction of a 9,000 m² cross-dock facility in Vendin-le-Vieil, after a 13-month construction period. This building is designed to meet the needs of a major player in the transport and logistics sector, who will occupy it under a 12-year lease. The site is strategically located in a key logistics area of Lens, thus facilitating the operations of goods transportation.
Features of the New Facility
Argan's new facility, located near Lens, includes a 7,400 m² cross-dock hall with 71 docks, promoting efficient management of logistic flows. It is complemented by 1,200 m² of office space. To enhance energy efficiency, the roof is equipped with a 150 kWc photovoltaic power station.
Strategic Importance in the E-commerce Era
According to Argan, the rise of e-commerce underscores the importance of infrastructures such as this new logistics platform. Situated at the heart of an agglomeration of more than 250,000 inhabitants and in immediate proximity to Lille, this facility is well-positioned to meet current market needs. Argan continues to consolidate its position in the French market with a portfolio of 3.7 million m² of warehouses and an annual rental income exceeding 210 million euros as of June 30, 2025.
