Bolloré SE Reports a 24% Revenue Decline in the Third Quarter of 2025
Bolloré SE announced a 24% decrease in revenue for the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year, according to the company's statement.
Detailed Financial Performance
In the third quarter of 2025, Bolloré SE's revenue, with constant scope and exchange rates, stood at 630 million euros, marking a 24% decline. This decrease is mainly attributed to Bolloré Energy, whose revenue fell by 25% to 530 million euros due to the general decline in oil product prices and reduced sales volumes. The Industry sector also saw a decline of 21%, reaching 73 million euros, particularly due to the decrease in BlueBus activity despite an increase in Films sales. In reported data, revenue decreased by 22%, including a favorable impact of 26 million euros primarily related to the acquisition of Chantelat by Bolloré Energy and slightly negative exchange rate effects.
Share Buyback Program
Bolloré SE executed a share buyback program during the first half of 2025, acquiring 35.4 million of its own shares for a total of 196.5 million euros, representing 1.26% of the capital. Additionally, 44.1 million shares were cancelled during this period, reducing the total number of treasury shares to 3.2 million, or 0.11% of the capital, which the Board of Directors decided to cancel at its meeting on September 17, 2025.
Vivendi Spin-off Major Event
The spin-off of Vivendi was a significant event for Bolloré SE. On July 18, 2025, following a court decision, the AMF requested the filing of a public withdrawal offer for the shares of Vivendi SE. Bolloré SE contested this decision before the Paris Court of Appeal. The Court of Cassation hearing is scheduled for November 25, 2025. Meanwhile, the revenue decline for the first nine months of 2025 was 10%, totaling 2,178 million euros. The Bolloré Energy segment saw a 10% decrease in revenue, while the Industry segment recorded a 17% decline, impacted by the reduction in BlueBus activity.
