Bouygues Plans 30,000 Hires in 2026, Including 8,500 in France
Bouygues is launching a massive recruitment campaign with nearly 30,000 positions available in 2026, including 8,500 in France, positioning the group as the country's third largest private recruiter. This initiative reflects the group's needs in energy transition, construction, digital technology, and media on a global scale.
France: 8,500 Positions Including 6,700 Permanent Contracts
In France, Bouygues will open 8,500 positions in 2026, of which 6,700 are permanent contracts, making it the third largest private recruiter in the country. The opportunities span all qualification levels, from vocational certificates to engineering degrees, and primarily involve sectors such as energy transition and decarbonization (Equans, notably for maintenance technician, installation, or electrician roles), construction and public works (Colas, Bouygues Construction, Bouygues Immobilier), as well as digital, networks, and media (Bouygues Telecom, TF1). The group will also welcome 7,000 interns and apprentices in France in 2026, from two-year college degrees to master's level, with over 50% of them being subsequently hired on permanent contracts at the end of their programs.
Strengthened International Presence in the UK and Beyond
Internationally, Bouygues will recruit more than 10,000 new employees across the globe, mainly in Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, the United States, Switzerland, Australia, and Morocco. In the UK, where the group is the leading non-British employer with 20,000 employees, 2,700 positions will be available in 2026, focused in construction (Colas Ltd, Colas Rail UK, Bouygues UK, Bouygues Travaux Publics UK) and energy and services (Equans UK & Ireland), primarily in the regions of London, Birmingham, and Liverpool-Manchester. The group is developing a new recruitment platform powered by artificial intelligence, accessible to external candidates and the group's 200,000 employees, to facilitate internal mobility and career opportunities. Jean-Manuel Soussan, Deputy CEO and Director of Human Resources at Bouygues Group, states: 'At Bouygues, everyone can find their place, regardless of their background or level of education. We are primarily looking for individuals who are committed and can bring meaning to their profession.'
