Clariane share testing support at €3.23, lagging SBF 120
The retirement homes and home care services group extends its decline in mid-afternoon trading, in a lower-oriented Paris market. It finds itself at the bottom of the broadened index table, testing a technical threshold already under surveillance.
A share stuck at its support level, far from its three moving averages
The Clariane share falls 1.88% to €3.24, just over 0.3% above its support at €3.23. The decline is part of a lengthy downturn: the share loses 15.09% over one month and 19.28% over three months. The price remains below its three moving averages, 7.95% below the 20-day MA (€3.52) and 14.74% below the 50-day MA (€3.80), depicting a bearish slope without sustained rebound since the start of the school year.
The RSI at 34.99 is close to the oversold zone. During today's session, Clariane ranks among the sharpest declines on the SBF 120, which itself falls 0.62%, and already fell below €3.30 on Monday. Emeis, another retirement home operator, declines 1.40% on Tuesday and drops 17.25% over one month, a trajectory similar to Clariane's.
First-half results and financing initiatives serve as benchmarks
When publishing first-half 2026 results on July 29, the group targeted an improvement in its EBITDA margin of 100 to 150 basis points by end-2026, supported by progressive increases in occupancy rates. It also cited inflationary pressure on costs among its risks, despite tariff gains. On the financing side, Clariane signed on September 22 a €700 million renewable credit line maturing in 2031, shortly after completing a €500 million senior bond placement on September 8.
The session is also unfolding against a backdrop of elevated French rates: the 10-year OAT stands at 4.93%, its highest level since July 2002. The €3.23 support level is the threshold the share is testing this afternoon.
