Crédit Agricole Assurances Launches Six Low-Carbon Centers in France
Crédit Agricole Assurances inaugurated on Wednesday the last of its six Low-Carbon Claims Management Units (UGS) in La Roche-sur-Yon, completing a modernization and environmental transformation project launched in October 2023. This initiative aligns with the group's strategic ambitions in sustainable development and local integration.
Nationwide Deployment of Low-Carbon Units
The transformation program for the claims management network, initiated in October 2023 with the opening of the site in Caen, has gradually been implemented across six of the 25 centers located in France. In addition to La Roche-sur-Yon, the sites in Caen, Grenoble, Dijon, Saint-Étienne, and Pau have also adopted the low-carbon model. This approach aims to reconcile environmental performance, employee well-being, and local integration. The group emphasizes that this initiative reflects three strategic axes: sustainably investing in the heart of territories close to clients, contributing to local economic development by supporting employment and partnerships with local businesses, and acting for the climate by supporting transitions towards more responsible practices.
Innovative Design of the New UGS in La Roche-sur-Yon
The new UGS in La Roche-sur-Yon, constructed by Crédit Agricole Immobilier, was designed according to the RE 2020 regulation and HQE certification. From its inception, the building integrates criteria for energy performance and carbon footprint reduction that will be mandatory from 2028. The structure predominantly features a timber frame, combined with low-carbon concrete and bio-based insulation. Photovoltaic panels, intelligent building management, and outdoor facilities that promote biodiversity complete this setup. Beyond its environmental performance, the site offers an enhanced work experience for the 80 staff members welcomed since February, with improved soundproofing and a focus on natural materials in the workspaces. The location within the Atlantique Vendée Regional Fund marks a first for the Crédit Agricole group.
