Crédit Agricole CIB appoints Dominique Blanchard to head market activities
Dominique Blanchard joins the Executive Committee of Crédit Agricole CIB and reports directly to Jean-François Balaÿ, Chief Executive Officer of the bank. This appointment takes effect from September 1, 2026, as part of the ACT 2028 strategic plan.

Crédit Agricole CIB has appointed Dominique Blanchard Deputy Chief Executive Officer responsible for market activities, effective September 1, 2026. Based in Paris, he reports directly to Jean-François Balaÿ, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB, and joins the bank's Executive Committee.
According to the announcement, he will continue the implementation of the strategic priorities of market activities within the framework of the ACT 2028 strategic plan, with the objective of accelerating their diversification, in particular the development of Equity-linked products, and continuing the momentum internationally as well as synergies within the group.
He succeeds Pierre Gay, who has retired
Dominique Blanchard succeeds Pierre Gay, who is taking retirement after a career within the Crédit Agricole group.
With over 30 years of experience in financial markets in Europe and Asia-Pacific, Dominique Blanchard began his career within the Crédit Agricole group, where he spent nearly 15 years in Paris, London and Asia (Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong) at LCL, CLSA and Crédit Agricole. He then joined Daiwa Sumitomo from 2008 to 2013 in Hong Kong to lead Global Financial Markets, before becoming Global Head of Sales and Origination for Debt Capital Markets at ANZ in 2013.
He joined Crédit Agricole CIB in 2018 as Head of market activities for the Asia-Pacific and Africa and Middle East regions. He holds an MBA from ESSEC and a Master's degree from IFP School.
