Dassault Systèmes: Stock Takes CAC 40 Lead with a 2.5% Gain
In a downward-trending Paris market, the 3D software publisher stands out sharply on Monday. The stock extends the rebound initiated late last week, following a month of pressure, and finds itself at a technical level that traders are watching closely.
A 2.47% Increase Bringing the Stock to €21.14, Against the Trend of the CAC 40
With a gain of 2.47% to €21.14 during the session, the Dassault Systèmes stock holds first place in the CAC 40, which for its part declines by 1.10%. The stock outperforms Thales and Air Liquide, while Schneider Electric, the index's worst performer, plunges nearly 10%. This rebound follows an initial rally on Friday, after a decline of 27.58% over one year and a September marked by several sessions at the bottom of the index. Over three months, the security remains up 14.3%.
The market context remains tense. Brent holds above 100 dollars and the French 10-year OAT stands at 4.90%, at its highest level since 2012 for its spread against the Bund, within a budget debate that Moody's considers challenging for 2027. The publisher, for its part, confirmed its outlook for 2026 during its semi-annual results released on July 23.
A Price Back Above the 20-Day Moving Average and Close to the 50-Day Moving Average at €21.31
The stock is trading 1.88% above its 20-day moving average (€20.75) and 5.44% above its 200-day moving average (€20.05). It remains however 0.80% below its 50-day moving average, positioned at €21.31. This average represents the next immediate hurdle before resistance at €23.09.
A breakthrough would push the price above all three moving averages, a configuration it has not experienced since the start of the correction. The RSI at 47 remains neutral: today's rebound does not place the stock in overbought territory. On the downside, the support at €20.17, threatened at the end of September, is approximately 4.6% below the current price.
