Thales stock among strongest gainers on CAC 40, driven by order intake
The defense electronics group extends its rebound in a well-oriented Paris market. The stock regains momentum after a mixed quarter, just days after the publication of its order figures.
A rebound that brings the price back above its short-term moving averages
The Thales stock gains 1.67% to €237.80 in trading, while the CAC 40 advances by 1.08%. It ranks among the strongest gainers in the index. The stock is trading above its 20-day MA (difference of 4.72%) and its 50-day MA (difference of 2.06%), and is approaching its resistance level at €238.70.
Over one week, it gains 3.39%, which contrasts with a quarter still declining by 4.61%. The 200-day MA remains at €241.26, which the price has not crossed back above: it stands 1.43% below.
The deployable radar contract intended for the Romanian Air Force, announced on October 27, has been added to the group's order intake, which had increased by 15% over nine months at the time of the October 22 publication.
2026 objectives confirmed after nine months of rising order intake
During the publication of the first nine months on October 22, 2026, Thales reported €19,122 million in order intake, with organic growth of 15%, and revenue of €16,422 million (+8.1% on an organic basis).
The group confirmed all of its objectives for the year. It cites, among its risks, the impact of the Middle East conflict on aftermarket avionics and air traffic, and lower momentum in digital activities. It highlights in contrast the strong commercial momentum in Space, with the IRIS² constellation, and sustained demand in naval and air defense.
The stock remains just over 1% below its 200-day MA, a threshold that the security has not reclaimed.
