DBT Refocuses Strategy on Fast Charging and R3 Network
DBT Group announces a strategic refocus of its industrial activities, favoring the premium segment of fast charging stations and the development of its R3 charging station network. This reorientation comes with a temporary decline in activity expected in 2025.
Strategic Restructuring of Business Operations
DBT now structures its business model around two complementary activities. On one hand, DBT CEV is focusing its development on the design, manufacturing, and sale of premium fast and ultra-fast charging stations with its Milestone® range, entirely designed and assembled in France, covering the entire spectrum of charging from 7 to 180 kW. On the other hand, R3 continues its role as an operator of high-power charging stations, favoring locations such as shopping centers and restaurant chains over major transit sites. This refocus addresses the changes in the electric vehicle market and increased competition from low-cost countries.
Expansion of the R3 Network
The R3 network had 121 stations open as of December 31, 2025, up from 84 twelve months earlier. For 2026, DBT aims to accelerate the expansion of the R3 network with a goal of installing 50% more sites than in 2025, with 30 sites already in the construction phase. Regarding DBT CEV, the activity is expected to benefit from two main drivers: the relaunch of social leasing for electric vehicles and fiscal incentives for the electrification of corporate automotive fleets. The group has also developed a new commercial offer combining the sale of Milestone® stations for fast charging and third-party stations for slow charging, with guaranteed maintenance and operation.
