Conversely, LeShuttle observed a 4% increase in the number of passenger vehicles transported in October 2025, totaling 153,929 vehicles. Since the beginning of the year, more than 1.9 million passenger vehicles have used the services, showing an increase of 2% compared to the same period in 2024. Getlink, through its subsidiary Eurotunnel, manages the Channel Tunnel infrastructure and the shuttle service between Folkestone and Calais until 2086. Since its inception, this link has seen over 518 million people and more than 106 million vehicles pass through. The tunnel plays a key role in trade between the Continent and the United Kingdom, accounting for a quarter of total trade. Getlink continues its commitment to sustainable transport services and low-carbon solutions, bolstered by the Eleclink electrical interconnection that balances energy needs between France and the United Kingdom.
