Down 13% in one month, Kering stock rebounds by nearly 2% during the session
The luxury group that owns Gucci and Saint Laurent is recovering mid-morning, within a rising CAC 40. The rebound comes after several weeks of pressure and a series of target adjustments by brokerages.
A rebound of 1.84% that leaves the stock far from its three moving averages
Kering shares gain 1.84% to €213.10, making it a mid-table value in the CAC 40, which advances 0.68%. This recovery does not change much in the overall picture: the stock still falls 6.62% over seven days and 13.09% over one month. The price remains below its three moving averages, at 7.00% below the MA20 (€229.13) and nearly 18% below the MA200 (€259.51).
The RSI at 30 signals an oversold configuration, and the price is trading near the support level at €209.25, corresponding to the previous close. At the same time, French budgetary uncertainty is fueling tension on rates: the 10-year OAT yield reached 4.90% according to the Banque de France report of October 2, an unprecedented level since 2008.
UBS and RBC Capital lower their price targets on the luxury group
Two brokerages revised their targets on Monday. UBS lowered its target from €285 to €224 with a neutral opinion, a level approximately 5% above the current price. RBC Capital moved from €280 to €260 with a sector performance opinion, leaving potential of more than 20%.
These revisions add to those already published the previous week. On the fundamentals side, the first half 2026 results, published on July 29, showed a net result attributable to the group down 60% at €189 million and Gucci revenue down 5% on a comparable basis. In this context, a press briefing on October 2 reports that management mentioned a difficult end of summer for luxury, which concerns the third quarter 2026 not yet published.
