Drone Volt presents its LineDrone range at the 2026 Cigre Congress in Paris
The professional civil drone manufacturer has chosen the CIGRE Congress, held from August 23-28, 2026 at the Paris Convention Center, to showcase its solutions dedicated to the inspection and maintenance of electrical networks. The company highlights several versions of its LineDrone drone, presented as available on the market.
Three versions of LineDrone for distinct uses on power lines
Drone Volt presents the LineDrone as the only drone in the world capable of landing on energized electrical lines, up to 765 kV, to perform inspection and maintenance missions. Developed with Hydro-Québec, the device lands directly on energized conductors and moves along the line thanks to a motorized rolling system, in order to measure conductor corrosion and electrical resistance of splice sleeves.
The range comprises three versions. The LineDrone DLR-SX, developed with Ampacimon and qualified with the assistance of EDF laboratories, is designed to install the Sense X sensor on lines up to 765 kV to measure several conductor parameters in real time. The LineDrone Coating is intended for the application of photonic coatings directly on electrical lines.
The company indicates that the LineDrone is already used by several network operators, including Hydro-Québec and RTE.
A remote pilot service offering without equipment acquisition
Drone Volt clarifies that the various versions of LineDrone are currently available on the market. The Drone Volt Expert teams, presented under the Drone As a Services (DaaS) designation and composed of remote pilots, intervene directly on electrical networks as part of service provision contracts.
According to the company, this framework allows network operators to use these solutions without acquiring the drones or training their own teams. Marc Courcelle, Chief Executive Officer of Drone Volt, indicates that the group has been developing a range of drones and services dedicated to electrical network operators for several years, relying on technological partnerships with Hydro-Québec and Ampacimon.
The company has also announced that the publication of its half-year results is scheduled for September 16, 2026.
