Egide USA Closes Its California Subsidiary and Consolidates All Production in Maryland
Egide announces the consolidation of all its American industrial operations at its Cambridge (Maryland) site, accompanied by the planned closure of its Santier subsidiary in San Diego (California). This decision is part of a simplification of the group's industrial organization and an improvement of performance in North America.
Strategic Consolidation at Cambridge
Egide Group is centralizing its American production capabilities at the Cambridge site, thus validating a project that meets three strategic objectives: improving the group's competitiveness in North America, strengthening operational excellence, and ensuring a more efficient and sustainable operation. The Santier subsidiary, based in California, has experienced a gradual decrease in activity levels over several fiscal years, exacerbated in 2025 by the termination of several high-value-added programs from leading clients in the United States and Asia. The activity volume of this site no longer allowed it to sustainably absorb its cost structure, necessitating this consolidation of capabilities at a single site.
Gradual Transition to Cambridge
The transfer of activities to Cambridge will occur gradually, in close coordination with the concerned clients to ensure a smooth transition that respects commercial commitments. The Cambridge site has the necessary capacities to accommodate these activities under favorable conditions. Ignace Dupon, CEO of Egide Group, states, 'Our priority is to ensure a controlled transition, respectful of our teams and transparent for our clients.'
