The Ekinops board of directors has announced the appointment of Lionel Chmilewsky as the group's CEO, effective from January 12, 2026. Philippe Moulin, who temporarily held the position, will now serve as the Deputy CEO in charge of operations.
Extensive International Experience
According to the press release, Lionel Chmilewsky has extensive international experience, particularly in the United Kingdom and the United States, within the technology, telecommunications, and cybersecurity sectors. He previously held the position of President and CEO at TrustBuilder, a European company specializing in digital identity protection and access management. Before that, he was the CEO of Corero Network Security, a London Stock Exchange-listed company focused on anti-DDoS solutions, where he reportedly doubled the revenue and ARR while ensuring profitability. Lionel Chmilewsky has also led Cambridge Broadband Networks and Comverse IP Communications, and currently chairs the board of Hive Streaming, the company notes.
Strategic Mission and Objectives
According to Ekinops, the new CEO's mission will be to continue implementing the strategic 'Bridge' plan, which focuses on innovation, customer satisfaction, and positioning in new markets. The board of directors indicates that Lionel Chmilewsky will continue to drive international business development and expand the group's direct and indirect sales structures. As stated by Hugues Lepic, chairman of the board, quoted in the press release, the goal is to strengthen Ekinops' positioning in data center interconnection for optical transport and SASE cybersecurity for access. Philippe Moulin, who served as interim, will maintain an operational role within the management as Deputy CEO in charge of operations.
