Ekinops: Q2 Revenue Hits €30.6M, Boosted by Optical Networks
Ekinops reported a revenue of €30.6 million in the second quarter of 2026, an increase of 11% from the previous quarter and 6% year-over-year. The growth was driven by the optical networks, which saw significant growth in France and particularly in the USA, while Connectivity & SASE Network solutions dropped by 5% sequentially. The group confirms its target for single-digit annual growth in 2026.
Third Consecutive Quarter of Sequential Growth
In the second quarter of 2026, Ekinops recorded a consolidated revenue of €30.6 million, the highest quarterly activity level in three years. The business progressed by 11% compared to the first quarter of 2026 and by 6% compared to the second quarter of 2025, or 3% on a like-for-like basis and constant exchange rates. This quarter marks a third consecutive sequential improvement, following increases of 15% in the fourth quarter of 2025 and 8% in the first quarter of 2026. For the first half of the year, the revenue reached €58.2 million, up 2% year-over-year, but down 2% on a like-for-like basis and constant exchange rates.
Optical Networks on the Rise, Connectivity & SASE Networks Decline
Optical Networks activity showed a sequential growth of 41% in the second quarter, driven by strong momentum in France and particularly by increased activity in the United States. Ekinops noted that the effects of the American federal BEAD program deployment should materialize in the coming quarters. Conversely, Connectivity & SASE Network solutions fell by 5% compared to the first quarter, after a sequential increase of 14% at the start of the year. However, the group indicated that its commercial opportunities portfolio has notably increased. Cybersecurity activity accounted for 6% of the total revenue in the first half of the year. By the end of June, the recurring annual revenue reached €15.9 million, up 7% from December 31, 2025.
Proximus: First Deployment Planned for the Second Half
On July 2, 2026, Ekinops announced a ten-year framework agreement with Proximus, the leading Belgian telecom operator. Named NEURON, the project involves the deployment of a national high-speed optical network covering over 600 sites. Ekinops will provide WDM systems supporting an optical capacity of 800 Gbit/s, reconfigurable optical multiplexers, its Celestis NMS management solution, and associated software and services. An initial deployment is scheduled for the second half of 2026, following laboratory and field trials. For the full year, Ekinops confirms its target for single-digit growth. The initial deployments at Proximus, the commercial momentum from the first half of the year, and the first deliveries of new DCI and SASE solutions expected at the end of the year should support growth in the second half.
