Eramet: Julien Burdeau to Chair Eramet Ideas Starting July 1, 2026
Julien Burdeau will assume the presidency of Eramet Ideas from July 1, 2026. Formerly the director of decarbonization for the group, he will succeed the previous leadership of the innovation center, tasked with accelerating the transformation of scientific advances into industrial solutions.
A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure and the Corps des Mines, with a PhD in applied mathematics, Julien Burdeau has gained experience in a variety of environments. He has notably worked at the Ministry of Industry, before moving on to roles in the stainless steel sector (Aperam), liquefied natural gas (Gaztransport & Technigaz), and high-performance alloys (Aubert & Duval).
In his previous role as the director of decarbonization for the group, Burdeau played a key role in defining and implementing Eramet's decarbonization strategy, closely collaborating with various business units to align climate ambitions with industrial performance and long-term competitiveness.
