Exosens share falls 3.5%, among the steepest declines on the SBF 120
The Bordeaux-based optronic company is posting a sharp decline mid-session, in a Paris market oriented downwards. The movement erases the rebound initiated at the beginning of last week and places the security below all of its moving averages.
A security that falls back below its three moving averages in a single session
Exosens share loses 3.45% to €57.40, after a close at €59.45. It now finds itself below its MA20 (€59.24, spread of -3.11%), its MA50 (€59.46) and its MA200 (€60.22, spread of -4.68%). The decline thus breaks the clustering of the three moving averages around €59-60, which the price had recovered last week. The RSI at 52 remains neutral: today's pullback has not yet affected the buyer-seller balance.
The support level of €54.15 is found at approximately 5.7% below the current price. Over the week, the security is down 1.71%, and the gain over three months remains at 1.86%. In the SBF 120 ranking, Exosens is among the steepest declines of the day, while the index falls 1.32%. The security is therefore declining more than the index, at a time when French equities are being penalized by rising sovereign yields.
A Paris market penalized by tension on French debt
The CAC 40 loses 1.34% to 7,849.74 points and the SBF 120 1.32%, following the violence that occurred Saturday in several French cities. The yield on the ten-year OAT is at 4.79% according to the latest Bank of France survey dated October 16, or 1.37 percentage points more than the German Bund. The VIX volatility index declines 6.65% to 18.66, which signals a calmer climate across the Atlantic than on the Paris exchange.
The Exosens security had already fluctuated with the market last week: It had fallen 2% on October 13 before recovering 2.5% on October 14. Its performance over one month remains negative, at -5.36%, and the support level of €54.15 is the level to watch on the downside.
