Exosens Shares Drop 2.5% and Plunge into Oversold Territory on the SBF 120
The French specialist in night vision and imaging technology for defense continues its slide in mid-morning trading. The stock is at the bottom of the SBF 120, as the Parisian segment moves in the red. The correction is part of a bearish sequence stretching over several weeks.
A New Leg Down that Breaks Key Moving Averages
Exosens falls by 2.66% to €51.25, down from €52.65 the previous day. The stock is among the largest declines in the SBF 120, while the broad index is down 0.37% in the session. The slump is intensifying over time: the decline reaches 13.94% over a week and 20.48% over a month, erasing part of the annual performance which remains at +21.16%. The technical setup is clearly deteriorating. The price is moving below the 20-day moving average (MM20) at €60.67 (a gap of -15.53%) and the 50-day moving average (MM50) at €62.05 (-17.41%), and remains below the 200-day moving average (MM200) at €54.75 (a gap of -6.39%). The RSI at 28 signals a pronounced oversold condition, consistent with the magnitude of the decline in recent sessions.
A €140M Loan from the EIB Fails to Halt the Correction
The company announced on Thursday that it had secured a credit facility of 140 million euros from the European Investment Bank, backed by the InvestEU program, to finance its R&D activities and industrial investments in the European defense and civilian markets. The day before, the company had launched PhaseStudio, a software for optical wavefront measurement aimed at metrology. These announcements do not halt the correction that began in late May, after breaking the resistance at €66.65 which had preceded a reversal. The stock is now approaching the €52.65 level, identified as a technical support.
