Olivier Lefebvre combines the JIKA region and Chief Operating Officer responsibilities
Forvia announced the appointment of Olivier Lefebvre, Chief Operating Officer and Group Executive Vice President, to the position of head of the JIKA region (Japan, India, Korea, ASEAN), effective immediately. According to the group, he will take charge of this region in addition to his current duties.
Having joined the group in 1995, Olivier Lefebvre has held several management positions in South America and Europe. He previously led the Clean Mobility division.
As Chief Operating Officer, he oversees Operations, Total Customer Satisfaction and Quality, as well as Procurement.
Shoji Akiyama leaves the group
Olivier Lefebvre succeeds Shoji Akiyama, who has decided, according to the press release, to pursue his career outside the group. Forvia thanked him for his contribution during his tenure.
The group presents this evolution as a means of maintaining strong regional leadership, proximity with customers and the deployment of its strategic priorities, in line with its "local-for-local" approach. Martin Fischer, Chief Executive Officer of Forvia, indicated that the expansion of Olivier Lefebvre's responsibilities aims to "strengthen the link between regional execution and the group's operational leadership".
He described the JIKA region as an "important contributor" to Forvia's global activities and customer relationships.
