Forvia share among strongest gains in SBF 120, remains below its 20-day moving average
The automotive equipment supplier is rising sharply mid-morning, while the Paris index remains virtually flat. The rebound comes after a week of decline and ahead of a calendar milestone.
A rebound that remains below moving averages following a difficult week
The Forvia share gains 2.53% to €8.66 in trading, placing it among the strongest gainers in the SBF 120, which fell 0.03%. This recovery only partially offsets the 4.86% decline suffered over the week.
The price remains below its 20-day moving average (€8.74, 0.94% gap), then below its 50-day moving average at €8.99.
The RSI at 48 remains neutral, signaling indecision. The 200-day moving average at €10.26 remains well above the price, blocking any lasting reversal. Over one year, the share has lost 22.45%. The equipment manufacturer announced on October 22 the extension of its partnership with Great Wall Motor beyond China, before rebounding on October 28.
Short positions at 3.86% of capital and revenue expected on November 2
Four funds hold 3.86% of capital sold short, according to available declarations, a high level but in very slight decline over one month (-0.09 points). This figure signals institutional investors positioned against the stock or seeking to hedge an exposure, without in itself indicating a massive loss of confidence.
On the calendar front, the group will publish its third quarter 2026 revenue on November 2. Brent crude at $110.97 per barrel, up 1.43% this morning, provides a trading backdrop for a sector sensitive to fuel costs.
