Forvia Share: Down 6.7% Over One Month, Stock Gains Nearly 2.5% During Trading Session
The automotive equipment supplier rebounds mid-session in a rising Paris market. The stock thus emerges from a difficult week. Two appointments within its management have just been announced on the same day.
A rebound that brings the stock back to its 20-day moving average
The Forvia share gains 2.38% to €8.95 during trading, while the SBF 120 advances 0.61%. This increase places it among the best performers in the broad index, although it cannot be described as leading. The price is in contact with its MA20 (€8.95), after losing 5.75% over seven days. The path toward the support level at €8.42 remains open if the movement loses momentum, while resistance at €9.93 constitutes the ceiling of the rebound.
The MA50 (€9.09) is barely higher than the current price. The MA200 (€10.56) is significantly further away, and the stock has declined nearly 17% over one year. Declared net short positions reach 3.87% of capital, distributed among four funds, a change of +0.05 points over thirty days. This level remains elevated but its recent stability does not reflect a rise in distrust: a few institutional investors are positioned against the security or are hedging an exposure, without any notable acceleration.
Two appointments announced to the equipment supplier's executive committee
Forvia announced on October 14th the management of the Japan, India, Korea and ASEAN regions entrusted to Olivier Lefebvre, who retains his responsibilities as Director of Operations. He succeeds Shoji Akiyama, who is leaving the group. The group also appointed Raphaël Viard, in charge of digital and artificial intelligence, to its executive committee; he reports to Martin Fischer, Chief Executive Officer.
These organizational announcements come following the agreement concluded in early October with Indian company Anand in the seating business, which aims for approximately 10% of the Indian market within five years. The stock remains close to its short-term averages, with an RSI at 46 that indicates neither overbought nor oversold conditions.
