Getlink Secures 55 Million Euros in Compensation for Eleclink Shutdown
Getlink Group has reached a settlement with its insurers for the business interruption losses of Eleclink, totaling 55 million euros, according to the statement released on Wednesday.
The compensation covers the suspension of operations of the Eleclink electrical interconnection from September 25, 2024, to February 5, 2025, the group states. Out of the 55 million euros awarded, 5 million euros had already been accounted for in the first half of 2025. The total amount will be recorded in the group's consolidated accounts for the fiscal year 2025, the company specifies.

According to Getlink, the group's 2025 EBITDA target, set last March between 780 and 830 million euros, included a conservative assumption. The group had anticipated an initial compensation tranche of 15 million euros pending the assessment of damages and validation with insurers. This initial estimate was significantly exceeded by the final agreement.
