Getlink: Traffic Declines in February, Decreases in Trucks and Tourism
Getlink has released its traffic figures for February 2026. LeShuttle Freight transported 94,332 trucks, a decrease of 1% year-over-year, while passenger vehicle traffic fell by 6% over the same period.
According to Getlink's press release, LeShuttle Freight handled 94,332 trucks in February 2026, marking a 1% decline compared to February 2025. Over the first two months of the year, more than 190,000 trucks crossed the Channel on the Shuttles, a 3% decrease from the same period in 2025. Passenger vehicle traffic amounted to 114,467 units in February, down by 6% year-over-year. The group attributes this decline to the calendar effect related to the proximity of the British winter holidays to the Easter weekend in early April 2026. Since January 1st, 235,375 passenger vehicles have been transported, showing a 5% decrease compared to the first two months of 2025.

Getlink operates its Truck and Passenger Shuttle services between Folkestone and Calais through its subsidiary Eurotunnel. The group enhances its sustainable mobility offerings with its rail freight subsidiary Europorte. Traffic figures for March will be published on Friday, April 10, 2026, before the market opens.
