GTT presents its membrane technologies to Minister Jean-Noël Barrot
On the occasion of Jean-Noël Barrot's visit, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, to its Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse site, GTT reaffirmed the central place of research and development in its industrial positioning.
The group highlights its membrane containment technologies as a strategic asset for France.
Innovation presented as a driver of GTT's development
GTT received on September 1st, 2026, at its Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse site, Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, welcomed by Philippe Berterottière, Chairman of the Board of Directors, as well as by Thierry Valot, Director of Innovation, and Karim Chapot, Technical Director. The minister visited several laboratories and research and development facilities.
The visit was an opportunity to present the group's main technological development axes. For more than sixty years, GTT has relied on innovation to develop membrane containment systems dedicated to the transport and storage of liquefied gases.

The group devotes on average nearly 10% of its revenue to research and development and holds more than 3,600 active patents and patent applications worldwide. Since 2019, GTT has maintained its position on the podium of the most active French mid-sized companies in terms of patent filings with the INPI.
François Michel, Chief Executive Officer of GTT, stated that the group's technologies constitute "a strategic asset" for the country and that GTT intends to "remain at the forefront, by supporting its clients over time and preparing from today the solutions for the next decade".
