Hoteles Bestprice Initiates Conversion of Sagasta Casino into a Hotel in Logroño
The Spanish hospitality group Hoteles Bestprice announced on Tuesday the commencement of reconstruction works on the Sagasta Casino, a historic building in downtown Logroño. The project, estimated at around €5 million, aims to transform the building into a boutique hotel with 63 rooms, targeting an opening in the second quarter of 2027.
A Conversion at the Historical Heart of Logroño
The project involves the conversion of the Sagasta Casino, an iconic building located on Calle Sagasta in the historic center of Logroño. Hoteles Bestprice is transforming the building into a boutique hotel, which will feature approximately 63 rooms and will be part of the group's range. The operation is based on planning and construction permits obtained earlier in the year. The conversion will preserve key architectural and heritage elements of the building, including its protected facade and other historical features, while contributing to the site’s regeneration. The opening is expected in the second quarter of 2027.
A Key Element in the Group's Expansion Strategy
This operation is part of Hoteles Bestprice's broader growth strategy, which combines organic expansion, opening of new establishments, and targeted integration of hotel assets with high potential. The group continues a strategy of acquiring and developing premium hotel assets located in prime urban locations in Spain. Logroño, a provincial capital with strong tourism fundamentals, is experiencing sustained growth in visitor numbers and hotel demand. Hoteles Bestprice believes that the project will strengthen the group’s presence in strategic provincial capitals, boost local economic activity, and create jobs.
