JCDecaux Extends Advertising Contract with Heathrow for 8 Years
JCDecaux announced on Tuesday the renewal of its advertising contract with Heathrow for a duration of 8 years, starting from January 1, 2027. This renewal extends a partnership that has been in place for over 25 years with the world's most connected airport.
The World's Most Connected Airport
JCDecaux manages the advertising presence at Heathrow, the top international airport according to the global connectivity ranking. The airport welcomed 84.5 million passengers in 2025 and offers connections to 230 destinations in more than 80 countries. It has been ranked as the world's most connected airport for three consecutive years.
The contract covers the management of an advertising park that includes more than 680 digital screens and premium assets, including the famous T5 Towers at Terminal 5. This task is part of reinforcing Heathrow as one of the largest showcases of global premium advertising.
JCDecaux's Dominant Position in Airports
The group operates the advertising contract in 14 of the top 25 global airports and accounts for 54% of the total audience across these facilities. In February 2026, JCDecaux launched its first global offering of programmed digital advertising, allowing advertisers to activate campaigns worldwide, including major international airport hubs like Heathrow.
Fraser Brown, Director of Commerce at Heathrow, stated: 'Heathrow offers brands access to one of the world's most valuable and diverse international audiences. JCDecaux has been a trusted partner for many years and has played a significant role in the development of our media offerings.'
Innovation and Enhancing Passenger Experience
Jean-Francois Decaux, Co-Chief Executive Officer of JCDecaux, commented: 'We are delighted to have renewed this contract, consolidating our partnership with Heathrow, one of the most prestigious and strategically important airport environments in the world. This new agreement reflects the strength of our long-term relationship and our shared commitment to innovation, quality, and delivering exceptional experiences for both passengers and advertisers.'
The renewal comes as Heathrow celebrates its 80th anniversary. The partnership aims to support the next phase of growth for the airport's media offerings while enhancing the passenger experience at Heathrow and Heathrow Express.
