MEMSCAP recorded a consolidated revenue of €3.299 million in the first quarter of 2026, compared to €3.107 million in the first quarter of 2025. The growth reached 6.2% as reported and 12.6% at constant exchange rates. The group highlighted a strong momentum at the start of the year, despite an unfavorable impact from exchange rate fluctuations.
Optical Communications Posts Strongest Growth
The optical communications segment achieved a revenue of €734k in the first quarter of 2026, up from €377k a year earlier, marking an increase of 94.5%. MEMSCAP states that this growth is driven by the expansion of investments in data transmission infrastructure between data centers and high-performance computing environments. The aerospace segment generated €2.216 million, while medical activities increased to €328k.
Gross Margin Declines Due to Exchange Rate Effects
The gross margin stood at 38.8% of consolidated revenue in the first quarter of 2026, down from 41.1% in the first quarter of 2025. The gross profit amounted to €1.279 million, nearly stable compared to €1.277 million recorded a year earlier. Operational expenses, net of subsidies, reached €1.105 million, up from €1.026 million in the first quarter of 2025.
