Michelin Reboots the Paris-Clermont 'Échappée' on September 5 and 6, 2026

An Edition Focused on Inclusion and Accessibility

The second edition reaffirms the event's mission: to offer an accessible, human, and unifying cycling adventure connecting Paris to Clermont-Ferrand over 400 km. Far from timed competitions, the tour takes the form of a collective cycling journey with various formats that allow everyone to participate, regardless of their skill level or experience. This year, special attention is given to inclusivity and accessibility, particularly to encourage more female participation. Two new formats enhance the experience: a relay format allowing two teammates to share the race with a stage in Bourges, and a tandem format ideal for pairs wanting to tackle the challenge together.

Local Partnerships and Sustainable Mobility

The 'Échappée' relies on the local community network, in collaboration with the cycling clubs of Mozac (63) and Brétigny (91), historic partners of the race. A key stage will take place at the Michelin factory in Bourges for participant refreshments and the start of the relay race. The finish is scheduled for the following morning at 8 AM, at Place des Carmes, in front of Michelin's headquarters. The event underscores the group's commitment to sustainable mobility.
