Nacon Revises Annual Forecasts After a Mixed Third Quarter

Nacon Revises Annual Forecasts After a Mixed Third Quarter

Mixed Results in the Third Quarter

During the third quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year, covering the period from October to December 2025, Nacon reported mixed results. While the catalog activity in the games segment has improved, it did not offset the decline in accessories in the United States, the company indicates. The total revenue for the games segment amounted to 25.9 million euros, up 1.9% compared to the same period last year. This increase is primarily due to strong growth in catalog activity, which represents new games, up 39.9% at 13.7 million euros. According to the group, this performance results from continued sales of Hell is Us and the launches of Cricket 26 and Rennsport during the quarter. However, the back catalog, which includes games released in previous fiscal years, generated 12.2 million euros compared to 15.6 million euros last year. This decline is explained by a high comparison base and a market downturn over the quarter, according to the press release.

The accessories activity recorded a revenue of 17.9 million euros in the third quarter, down 29.1%. According to the company, this decline results from an American market still affected by the increase in tariffs. However, the group notes a mitigation of the decline in the United States, from 66% in the second quarter to 38% in the third quarter. This development suggests a gradual stabilization of the situation in this key market for the accessories division. The group mentions that the lack of visibility persists in the American market for the coming months. In Europe, Nacon anticipates support for accessory sales for the Switch 2 and the upcoming release in February of the next-generation RIG R5 PRO HS headset.

Upcoming Game Launches Expected to Boost Final Quarter

For the last quarter of the fiscal year, activity is expected to be driven by several major launches in the game catalog, including Styx: Blades of Greed, GreedFall The Dying World, Gear-Club Unlimited 3, Dragonkin: The Banished, and season 6 of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, the press release indicates. The back catalog activity is expected to generate revenue on the same level as that achieved in the 2024-25 fiscal year, according to the group. Although Nacon is recording an increase in its market share, the slowdown observed in the accessories and video game market in the third quarter leads the company to revise its forecasts. The group now anticipates the 2025-26 activity to be comparable to that of the previous fiscal year, whereas growth was initially expected.
