NVIDIA Strengthens AI Ecosystem with Strategic Partnership in Optics
NVIDIA has announced the signing of multi-year strategic agreements with Lumentum Holdings to accelerate the development of advanced optical technologies for artificial intelligence infrastructures. The non-exclusive agreement includes a multi-billion dollar purchase commitment and priority access to future capacities of advanced laser components.
The American group will also invest 2 billion dollars in Lumentum to support R&D, increase industrial capacities, and build a new production plant in the United States. The goal is to support the scaling up of AI-dedicated data centers.
