OP Mobility Secures Two Contracts with Leapmotor for the European Market
Automotive supplier OPmobility has won two contracts from Leapmotor International for the supply of front and rear bumpers as well as trunk doors for passenger cars in Europe. These initial contracts awarded by the Chinese manufacturer outside of China signify an expansion of the business relationship established since 2023 through the Sino-French joint venture YFPO.
Two Contracts for the Supply of Exterior Body Parts
OPmobility has secured two contracts with Leapmotor International, a joint venture resulting from the collaboration between Stellantis and the Chinese manufacturer Leapmotor. The supplied parts include front and rear bumpers as well as trunk doors intended for passenger cars marketed in Europe.
These contracts represent the first markets that Leapmotor has entrusted to OPmobility outside of China. Their award underscores the group's ability to support Leapmotor's international expansion by leveraging its global presence in R&D and production.
Production in Spain Starting from 2027
The production of bumpers and trunk doors will begin in 2027 and will take place in OPmobility's existing facilities in Spain. The group benefits from an established industrial presence and a deep understanding of the European market, assets mobilized to serve its international clients expanding on the continent.
This collaboration is an extension of the relationship already established between OPmobility and Leapmotor in China since 2023, through YFPO, the joint venture between OPmobility and the Yanfeng group. YFPO has become the market leader in China for exterior body solutions, including bumpers, trunk doors, and modules.
Strengthening of Ongoing Commercial Diversification
