OPmobility stock falls below its one-year low, drops 1.5% after JP Morgan
The Lyon-based automotive equipment manufacturer continues its slide in a downward-trending Paris market. The decline follows a mixed quarterly report and a fresh downgrade from a major research firm.
A 250-session low breached, far from moving averages
The stock falls 1.53% to €9.36 and drops below the €9.40 threshold, which corresponded to the lowest point of the past 250 sessions. This level, now broken, acts as resistance. The decline is part of a long downward trend: the security loses 22.5% over one month and 34.1% over one year. The price is thus 12.2% below its 20-day moving average and 34.3% below its 200-day moving average.
The RSI at 28 signals a configuration close to oversold conditions. The session is also difficult for the CAC 40, which retreats 1.51%, while the SBF 120 falls 1.47%. OPmobility thus performs somewhat worse than its index.
Revenue up 2.8% and analyst ratings on the decline
OPmobility published on October 21 third quarter revenue up 2.8% on a constant perimeter and exchange basis, driven by its three segments. Sales from joint ventures, however, declined 19.0%, due to the Chinese market. On the analyst ratings side, JP Morgan moved from overweight to neutral and lowered its target from €16.50 to €12.00.
CIC Market Solutions maintains its buy rating with a target of €16.00. JP Morgan's target remains approximately 28% above the current price. Based on the consensus of analysts tracked, the stock is trading at approximately 7.2 times current fiscal year earnings.
