Paramount Establishes Its Own Global Publishing House to Leverage Its Franchises
Paramount, a subsidiary of Skydance Corporation, announces the launch of Paramount Global Publishing, its own global publishing house. This initiative aims to broaden access to the group's iconic franchises while developing original stories for global audiences.
Operational Scope and Focus
Paramount Global Publishing will operate within the Products & Experiences division of the group, focusing on the development of complementary content inspired by Paramount's iconic franchises, as well as on creating original intellectual property. The publishing house will produce a wide portfolio of narratives spanning print, digital, and audio formats, aimed at audiences of all ages, from children and families to adults. The launch begins in the United States and Canada, with plans to expand to other markets in the future.
Development and Distribution Strategy
Paramount will directly handle the development, creation, and production of books published under its imprint, while a yet-to-be-named partner will manage sales and distribution in the market. Concurrently, the group will continue its licensing strategy by collaborating with renowned publishers and distributors. Amy Jarashow has been appointed as the head of Global Publishing, reporting to Josh Silverman, President of Global Products & Experiences. Announcements regarding the distribution partner and the first titles will be made later.
