Publicis Group share falls below its 20-day moving average and declines 2% on Wednesday
Publicis Group retreats during Wednesday's session, following a sharply lower Paris market. The share erases part of the gains recovered during its early-week rebound, as an agreement with AXA regarding the deployment of artificial intelligence agents has just been announced.
A 2% decline that pushes the share below its 20-day MA in a CAC 40 clearly down
The Publicis Group SA share loses 1.98% to €96.98 during Wednesday's session, in a CAC 40 that falls nearly 1.87% to 8,162 points. The correction is measured relative to the index's most severe declines, but it is sufficient to push the share below its 20-day moving average, which stands at €101.04, with a gap of 4%. The 50-day MA, meanwhile, remains supportive at €94.42, approximately 2.71% below the current price.
Over the week, the share loses 2.44%, extending a slight monthly decline of 3.02%. Over three months, however, performance remains solidly positive at over 10%, which illustrates the vigor of the rebound initiated since spring. The RSI at 50 remains in neutral territory, with no oversold or overbought signal at this stage.
The partnership with AXA around AI and short positions that remain worth monitoring
The day's movement occurs as Publicis Sapient, the group's technology division, has just signed an agreement with AXA to generalize the deployment of artificial intelligence agents across all operations of the insurer, with an initial version already active in five entities of the group. This agreement, announced yesterday, illustrates the strengthening of Publicis' AI offering with major European companies. Furthermore, according to consulted filings, four funds cumulate 3.27% of capital sold short, a level that has slightly declined by 0.11 points over thirty days (versus 3.38% a month ago).
This level remains significant: it signals that institutional investors maintain bearish positions on the share, without this necessarily translating into an acceleration of selling pressure. The 50-day MA at €94.42 constitutes the next concrete technical reference point in case the decline continues.
