Renault stock declines nearly 2% and tests its MM20 ahead of Q3
The diamond-shaped manufacturer retreats mid-morning, within a CAC 40 also oriented downward. The stock comes to test a short-term moving average, one week before its next financial meeting.
A decline of 1.86% that places the stock in contact with its MM20
Renault stock loses 1.86% to €26.43, while the CAC 40 yields 1.42%. The movement places it at the bottom of the index ranking, far from the session's steepest declines, and over the week the stock is nearly stable (-0.15%). The price is in contact with its MM20 (€26.44), but remains 4.41% below the MM50 (€27.65), which outlines a recent rebound that has not yet erased last month's decline.
The RSI at 45 is neutral. On the short seller side, seven funds cumulate 8.65% of capital according to the declarations reviewed, down 0.99 points over thirty days: the bearish bet remains significant but is losing some ground. Brent, at $112.13 per barrel (+3% in trading), is evolving in a market where tension on French debt is also a factor: the 10-year OAT is at 4.99% on October 21.
