Safran Shares Climb 2.5% Targeting Key Resistance at €347.20
The aerospace engine manufacturer continues its ascent and ranks among the leaders of the CAC 40. The stock extends a bullish movement that has been underway for several sessions, while the Paris index also moves in positive territory.
The stock approaches its resistance at €347.20 after a monthly gain of nearly 20%
Safran's stock advanced 2.4% to €324.00, among the strongest gains in the CAC 40 which increased by 0.74%. The stock continues an impressive dynamic, with a gain of 19.38% over the month and nearly 28% over the year. The session takes place in a context of geopolitical easing, as a preliminary agreement between Washington and Tehran extends the 60-day ceasefire and plans the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude fell about 7% on Monday, a relief that benefits the entire aerospace sector after several weeks of pressure related to the surge in oil prices.
From a technical standpoint, the price is well above its three moving averages: the MM20 at €295.64, the MM50 at €291.17, and the MM200 at €300.34, which is nearly a 10% gap from the MM20. The stock is now heading towards its resistance at €347.20, after breaking the €306 threshold last Friday. The RSI at 64 remains below the overbought zone, still leaving some margin before a signal of exhaustion.

Beyond the market context, the engine manufacturer benefits from solid industrial prospects in defense. The company detailed in early June a significant ramp-up for the AASM Hammer, its modular air-to-ground weapon, with production expected to reach about 1,400 units in 2026 (up from 200 in 2022), and an eventual capacity of 2,000 units per year. This trajectory strengthens the group's visibility on its defense activity, in a European environment characterized by rising military budgets.
The day's increase brings the weekly performance to over 10%. The next identifiable milestone remains the resistance zone at €347.20, which would mark a new high if it were to be breached.
