Sopra Steria Returns to Growth in Fourth Quarter Despite Annual Revenue Decline
Sopra Steria released its annual results for 2025 on Thursday, marked by a return to organic growth in the last quarter (+1.8%), partially offsetting a 2.2% contraction over the entire year. The IT group also recorded an 18.3% increase in its net income attributable to the group, reaching 296.8 million euros.
Annual Performance and Quarterly Recovery
Sopra Steria recorded a revenue of 5,648.0 million euros in 2025, down by 2.2% compared to 2024. This decline is within the guidance provided to the market (between -2.5% and +0.5%). The fourth quarter reversed the trend with an organic growth of 1.8%, driven by a positive dynamic in France and the United Kingdom. The operating margin was set at 9.5%, slightly below the 9.8% recorded in 2024 but within the guidance range (9.3% to 9.8%). The consulting activity accelerated in the last quarter with a growth of 5.1%.
Significant Improvement in Net Income and Financial Health
The net income attributable to the group increased by 18.3% to 296.8 million euros, bringing the net income per share to 15.23 euros compared to 12.46 euros in 2024 (+22.2%). The net cash flow reached 340.9 million euros, representing 6.0% of the revenue, and was within the guidance range (5% to 7%). The net financial debt decreased by 35.4% to 246.7 million euros, representing 0.45 times the pro forma EBITDA. Sopra Steria will propose a dividend of 5.30 euros per share at the general meeting on May 20, 2026, an increase from the 4.65 euros paid in 2024.
Strategic Acquisitions and Outlook for 2026
The group finalized the acquisition of Aurexia in May 2025 and Neocase in December 2025, contributing positively by 12.2 million euros to the annual revenue. Sopra Steria also announced that it is in exclusive negotiations to acquire Starion and Nexova, two key players in sovereign digital technology in space and cybersecurity, with completion expected in the first half of 2026. For 2026, the group targets an organic revenue growth between +1.0% and +2.0% and an operating margin of at least 9.5%.
