Stellantis stock gains over 2% leading CAC 40 despite UBS
The multi-brand automaker is regaining ground in mid-afternoon trading, in a Paris market showing significant gains. This recovery occurs while the stock remains far from its levels a year ago and analyst opinions continue to deteriorate.
A 2.18% rebound that does not erase the decline of the past month
The Stellantis stock is trading at 4.08 € during the session, up 2.18% compared to the previous day, while the CAC 40 advances 1.04%. The stock has gained 6.06% over seven days, but has still lost 12.61% over one month and more than 56% over one year. The price remains below its three moving averages: the gap is 1.94% with the 20-day MA at 4.16 €, 8.74% with the 50-day MA.
The weekly rebound thus mitigates the monthly decline without offsetting it. Support is at 3.85 € as the nearest level in case of further weakness, while resistance is found at 4.80 €.
UBS lowers its price target to 4.50 € while maintaining its rating
UBS published this Friday a revision of its price target on Stellantis, reduced from 5.80 € to 4.50 €, with a maintained "hold" rating. This target is approximately 10% above the current price. According to the consensus of surveyed analysts, the stock is trading at approximately 7.6 times current fiscal year earnings and 3.8 times next fiscal year earnings. Upon publication of first-half 2026 results on July 30, the company had highlighted a 140% year-over-year increase in electric vehicle orders from small and medium-sized fleets for its commercial vehicles division.
