TF1+ Launches on Netflix: Integrated Access to Channels and 35,000 Hours of Programming
TF1 Group and Netflix have initiated an unprecedented distribution partnership in France starting this Friday. Netflix subscribers now have direct access to TF1+, the group's live channels (TF1, TMC, TFX, TF1 Series Films, LCI) as well as over 35,000 hours of programming.
Direct Access to TF1 Offerings from Netflix
The partnership between Netflix and TF1 Group becomes effective this Friday, June 19. Netflix subscribers in France will enjoy integrated access to TF1+ and the five live channels of the group. A selection of programs is featured in a dedicated rail on the Netflix homepage, while the full TF1+ service is accessible via a specific corner. The integration utilizes native Netflix features: playback resume, personalized list, top 10 rankings, and algorithmic recommendations.
Over 35,000 Hours of Content and Live Events
The TF1+ catalog includes more than 35,000 hours of programming: French dramas (Le Diplôme, Zodiaque, La Cible), daily soap operas (Demain nous appartient, Ici tout commence, Plus belle la vie), entertainment shows (Koh-Lanta, Star Academy, Dance with the Stars), and reality TV productions. Starting June 23, subscribers will have live access to the Koh-Lanta finale, the new season of Secret Story, and sports events: Nations Championship rugby matches and the French national football team's games. Live streaming on Netflix is a global first for the platform. Initially, access to live content is limited to connected TVs, excluding mobile devices and web browsers.
Crossed Perspectives for Both Groups
Rodolphe Belmer, CEO of TF1 Group, emphasizes: 'By combining our content offerings with Netflix's recommendation power, we will together reach new audiences and open up new prospects for our advertisers.' Greg Peters, Co-CEO of Netflix, describes the partnership as a simplification of entertainment access: 'We are thus creating the ultimate entertainment destination for our French subscribers.'
