TomTom Unveils Key Service for Automated Driving and Speed Assistance
TomTom announces the launch of Unified Speed Restrictions, a new service aimed at providing more accurate and up-to-date speed limit data. This solution is designed for automotive manufacturers to enhance the reliability of driving assistance systems and support the development of automated driving features.
Comprehensive Data Integration
Unified Speed Restrictions merges all of TomTom's static and dynamic data sources, including unreported speed limits, road sign recognition, probe data, and real-time variable speed limits. The service produces a unique, continuously updated, and highly accurate result, allowing vehicle systems to access the most recent speed information. This enhancement in accuracy and timeliness aids systems in consistently identifying the correct speed limit.
Seamless API Integration
Unified Speed Restrictions is offered as an API and is pre-integrated with the TomTom ADAS SDK. This integration allows automotive manufacturers and top-tier suppliers to easily deploy compliance with Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) and predictive driving assistance functionalities. The SDK, flexible and modular, facilitates the integration of high-quality ADAS data into various software architectures without technological dependency, thus reducing development complexity and time to market.
